Product description

Source: Cyclic lipopeptide produced by Bacillus substilis containing multiple chain-length isomers

Surfactin (24730-31-2) is a lipopeptide biosurfactant which displays various activities including antifungal and antibacterial as well as inhibition of fibrin clot formation. Selectively inhibits cytosolic PLA 2 (IC 50 = 8.5 µM) suppressing PLA 2 -mediated inflammatory responses. Induces ER stress-mediated apoptosis via IRE1-ASK1-JNK signaling in human osteosarcoma cells
