Refund and Return Policy

At ABMIUM, we are committed to providing high-quality products supported by transparent validation data, rigorous quality standards, and scientific integrity. This Refund and Return Policy outlines the circumstances under which cancellations, returns, replacements, credits, and refunds may be considered.
By placing an order with ABMIUM, the Customer acknowledges and agrees to the terms set out in this Policy.
1. Product Validation and Performance Classifications
ABMIUM is committed to providing transparent scientific validation information to assist Customers in making informed purchasing decisions. To support this commitment, certain Products may be accompanied by validation and confidence classifications that communicate the level of evidence available for a specific application.
Products designated as ABMIUM Validated have had their performance verified through internal validation studies conducted by ABMIUM. Products classified as Partner Validated are supported by validation data obtained from recognised academic institutions, research organisations, or industry partners. Products labelled Expected Performanceare supported by available scientific evidence, product design characteristics, sequence homology, published literature, or related validation data indicating that performance is reasonably expected, although direct validation for the specific application may not yet be available. Products identified as Not Suitable are those for which available evidence indicates that the Product is not recommended for the specified application.
These classifications are intended to provide a clear and transparent indication of the level of evidence supporting a Product's use in a particular application. They are based on internal validation studies, partner-generated data, scientific literature, and other supporting evidence available at the time of assessment. ABMIUM is committed to the accuracy and integrity of the validation information it publishes and stands behind the validation status and performance information provided.
However, successful application of any Product depends on numerous factors that are outside ABMIUM's control, including the Customer's research objectives, experimental design, protocols, sample quality, handling procedures, storage conditions, equipment calibration, laboratory environment, operator technique, and intended use. Accordingly, the Customer acknowledges and agrees that responsibility for Product selection, application suitability, experimental methodology, and research outcomes remains solely with the Customer.
2. Refund Eligibility
ABMIUM will only consider refunds, replacements, credits, or other remedies where, following investigation and verification by ABMIUM, a Product is determined to have failed to conform to its published specifications, documented performance criteria, applicable quality control requirements, or where the Product was supplied incorrectly, damaged, or defective.
Products that have been manufactured, tested, validated, and supplied in accordance with their published specifications and quality standards will be considered conforming Products. Where ABMIUM confirms that a Product conforms to these standards, no refund, replacement, credit, or compensation will be available solely because the Product did not meet the Customer's expectations, was unsuitable for the Customer's intended application, failed to achieve a desired experimental outcome, or performed differently under the Customer's specific laboratory, operational, or research conditions. Likewise, refunds will not be granted where a Customer selected an incorrect Product or where outcomes were influenced by factors beyond ABMIUM's reasonable control.
Products classified as Expected Performance are purchased with the understanding that direct validation may not yet be available for every species, application, protocol, or experimental condition. Customers acknowledge that such classifications inherently involve a degree of scientific uncertainty. Consequently, the absence of expected results or the failure to achieve a desired outcome does not, by itself, constitute grounds for a refund, replacement, credit, or compensation.
Similarly, where ABMIUM has clearly identified a Product as Not Suitable for a particular application, no refund, replacement, credit, or compensation shall be available if the Product is nevertheless purchased or used for that application. Customers are expected to review the validation information provided before making a purchasing decision and to assess whether the Product is appropriate for their intended use.
3. Returns
Customers may request a return within fourteen (14) calendar days of receiving their order. To be eligible for return consideration, the Product must remain unused, unopened where applicable, and in its original condition. The Product must also be returned in its original packaging with all labels, documentation, inserts, and accompanying materials intact. Valid proof of purchase, such as an invoice or order confirmation, must be provided to enable ABMIUM to verify the transaction.
Upon receipt of a returned Product, ABMIUM reserves the right to inspect and evaluate the Product before determining whether a refund, replacement, or credit is appropriate. Returns that fail to satisfy the requirements outlined in this Policy, including Products that have been used, altered, damaged after delivery, improperly stored, or returned without original packaging and documentation, may be rejected.
Unless the Product was supplied incorrectly, damaged during transit, or verified by ABMIUM as defective or non-conforming, Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs, transportation expenses, customs charges, and any associated fees incurred in returning the Product.
4. Order Cancellations
Customers may cancel an order without charge within twenty-four (24) hours of purchase. This period allows Customers sufficient time to review their order details and make any necessary corrections before processing begins.
Cancellation requests submitted after the initial twenty-four (24) hour period but before shipment has occurred will be subject to a fifty percent (50%) administrative and restocking fee. This fee reflects the operational, administrative, inventory management, and processing costs incurred by ABMIUM in preparing and managing the order.
Once an Order has been shipped, it can no longer be cancelled. In such circumstances, Customers must follow the return procedures outlined in this Policy if they wish to request a return after receiving the Product.
5. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Products
Customers must notify ABMIUM within fourteen (14) days of delivery if a Product arrives damaged, is believed to be defective, or differs from the Product ordered. Prompt notification enables ABMIUM to investigate the matter efficiently and determine the most appropriate resolution.
Claims should be submitted to info@abmium.com and must include the relevant Order number, a detailed description of the issue encountered, and clear photographic evidence where applicable. Additional information may be requested if necessary to facilitate the investigation.
Upon review of the claim and any supporting evidence, ABMIUM may, at its sole discretion, provide a replacement Product, issue a refund, offer store credit, or provide another remedy that ABMIUM considers appropriate based on the circumstances of the claim and the availability of replacement stock.
6. Refund Processing
Where a refund is approved, it will be issued using the original payment method used for the purchase unless otherwise required by applicable law. Once approved, refunds are generally processed within five (5) to ten (10) Business Days. However, the time required for funds to appear in the Customer's account may vary depending on the policies and processing times of the relevant financial institution, payment processor, or card issuer.
Unless otherwise required by applicable law, shipping charges, freight charges, customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, and third-party logistics costs are non-refundable. These charges are incurred independently of the Product itself and are therefore not recoverable by ABMIUM once the relevant services have been provided.
7. Non-Returnable Products
Certain Products are not eligible for return or refund due to their nature, customisation, regulatory requirements, or inability to be resold once supplied. These include final sale items, gift cards, personalised products, custom-made products, special-order products, and any Products specifically identified as non-returnable at the time of purchase.
In addition, Products returned in a used, altered, damaged, contaminated, improperly stored, or incomplete condition are not eligible for return or refund. Products excluded under separate Product-specific terms or conditions are likewise not eligible unless expressly stated otherwise.
ABMIUM reserves the right to determine, acting reasonably and in accordance with this Policy, whether a returned Product satisfies the eligibility requirements for a refund, replacement, or credit.
