Built around the experiment

Your project. A defined technical scope.

ABMIUM coordinates custom PCR and qPCR assay development around a defined target, reference sequence and research application. Projects may involve primer and probe design, an assay-development package or a specified reagent deliverable. The review considers sample type, instrument, chemistry and specificity requirements together. A clear reference sequence and control strategy help prevent an assay being developed for the wrong transcript, variant or genomic region.

ABMIUM reviews your specification and coordinates suitable custom-service and manufacturing routes. The proposed provider or manufacturer, available documentation and agreed scope are stated before order.

Clear answers before you enquire

Frequently asked questions

Can I request primers and probes without a complete kit?

Yes. Specify the required deliverable so design, synthesis and experimental testing can be separated in the quotation.

Can you develop a multiplex qPCR assay?

Include all targets and the instrument channels. Multiplex feasibility depends on the complete panel and needs a defined compatibility and validation plan.

Do I need to supply a genome build?

Supply an accession or reference build whenever sequence interpretation depends on it. This is particularly useful for genomic loci, variants and isoform-specific designs.

Can PCR services be used for diagnostic development?

State the intended use at enquiry. The service here is research-focused; diagnostic development requires a separately assessed regulatory and validation specification.

Should our project use PCR, qPCR or RT-qPCR?

The target and output determine the route. Endpoint PCR can address presence or amplicon generation; qPCR adds a quantitative readout. RNA measurement requires reverse transcription. Provide the sequence reference, specimen, expected abundance and decision the assay must support.

What controls should a custom qPCR project include?

Define no-template controls, relevant positive and negative material, extraction or inhibition controls and, where appropriate, a no-reverse-transcription control. Agree specificity, efficiency, linear range and repeatability studies. Instrument compatibility and analysis settings belong in the transfer specification.

What affects the cost of custom pcr & qpcr assay development?

Pricing depends on target count, primer and probe design, sample preparation, instrument requirements and validation depth. ABMIUM provides a project-specific quotation after reviewing the requirement. Ask for a breakdown of stages, deliverables, optional studies and further-work decision points so you can compare the total scope rather than an entry price alone.
