Ntrk1, also known as TrkA, is the high-affinity receptor for nerve growth factor and a receptor tyrosine kinase involved in neuronal development, survival and sensory signalling. In rat, Ntrk1 is found at the cell surface and in endosomal and neuronal compartments, consistent with its role in neurotrophin signalling and receptor trafficking.
