Pseudouridine synthase that catalyses pseudouridylation of mRNAs and tRNAs. TRUB1 mediates pseudouridylation of mRNAs with the consensus sequence 5'-GUUCNANNC-3', harboring a stem-loop structure. Constitutes the major pseudouridine synthase acting on mRNAs.
