CLIP3 functions as a cytoplasmic linker protein. CLIP3 is involved in TGN-endosome dynamics. CLIP3 may modulate the cellular compartmentalization of AKT kinase family and promote its cell membrane localisation, thereby playing a role in glucose transport in adipocytes.
