Sodium- and chloride-dependent glycine transporter. Terminates the action of glycine by its high affinity sodium-dependent reuptake into presynaptic terminals. SLC6A5 may be responsible for the termination of neurotransmission at strychnine-sensitive glycinergic synapses.
