Macrophage stimulating 1 (MST1), also known as hepatocyte growth factor-like protein or MSP, is a secreted ligand for the RON/MST1R receptor tyrosine kinase. In mouse, Mst1 is produced prominently in the liver, with lower expression reported in tissues including lung and placenta, and participates in signalling linked to epithelial and tissue responses.
