Product description

Background

RNA binding protein that regulates the expression of target mRNAs at the translation level. Regulates expression of the NOTCH1 antagonist NUMB. Binds RNA containing the sequence 5'-GUUAGUUAGUUAGUU-3' and other sequences containing the pattern 5'-[GA]U1-3AGU-3'. May play a role in the proliferation and maintenance of stem cells in the central nervous system (By similarity).

Test principle

This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with Human MSI1 antibody. MSI1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human MSI1 Antibody is added and binds to MSI1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated MSI1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human MSI1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
