Product description

Background

Calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase that operates in the calcium-triggered CaMKK-CaMK1 signaling cascade and, upon calcium influx, activates CREB-dependent gene transcription, regulates calcium-mediated granulocyte function and respiratory burst and promotes basal dendritic growth of hippocampal neurons. In neutrophil cells, required for cytokine-induced proliferative responses and activation of the respiratory burst. Activates the transcription factor CREB1 in hippocampal neuron nuclei. May play a role in apoptosis of erythroleukemia cells. In vitro, phosphorylates transcription factor CREM isoform Beta.

Test principle

This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with Human CAMK1D antibody. CAMK1D present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human CAMK1D Antibody is added and binds to CAMK1D in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated CAMK1D antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human CAMK1D. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
