Product description

Background

Adapter protein that plays a role in the assembling of signaling complexes, being a link between ABL kinases and actin cytoskeleton. Can form complex with ABL1 and CBL, thus promoting ubiquitination and degradation of ABL1. May play a role in the regulation of pancreatic cell adhesion, possibly by acting on WASF1 phosphorylation, enhancing phosphorylation by ABL1, as well as dephosphorylation by PTPN12 (PubMed:18559503). Isoform 6 increases water and sodium absorption in the intestine and gall-bladder.

Test principle

This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with Human SORBS2 antibody. SORBS2 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human SORBS2 Antibody is added and binds to SORBS2 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated SORBS2 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human SORBS2. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
