Product description

Background

Binds to the E-box consensus sequence 5'-CANNTG-3' as a heterodimer and inhibits transcriptional activation by MYOD1, MYOG, MEF2A and MEF2C. Also represses expression of proinflammatory cytokines such as TNFA and IL1B. Involved in postnatal glycogen storage and energy metabolism (By similarity). Inhibits the premature or ectopic differentiation of preosteoblast cells during osteogenesis, possibly by changing the internal signal transduction response of osteoblasts to external growth factors.

Test principle

This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with Human TWIST2 antibody. TWIST2 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human TWIST2 Antibody is added and binds to TWIST2 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated TWIST2 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human TWIST2. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
