Product description

Background

Component of the CENPA-NAC (nucleosome-associated) complex, a complex that plays a central role in assembly of kinetochore proteins, mitotic progression and chromosome segregation. The CENPA-NAC complex recruits the CENPA-CAD (nucleosome distal) complex and may be involved in incorporation of newly synthesized CENPA into centromeres. Required for chromosome congression and efficiently align the chromosomes on a metaphase plate.

Test principle

This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with Human CENPH antibody. CENPH present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human CENPH Antibody is added and binds to CENPH in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated CENPH antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human CENPH. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
