Product description

Background

Receptor for the natriuretic Peptide hormones, binding with similar affinities atrial natriuretic Peptide NPPA/ANP, brain natriuretic Peptide NPPB/BNP, and C-type natriuretic Peptide NPPC/CNP (PubMed: 10377427, PubMed: 17951249). May function as a clearance receptor for NPPA, NPPB and NPPC, regulating their local concentrations and effects (PubMed: 10377427, PubMed: 17951249). May regulate diuresis, blood pressure and skeletal development (PubMed: 10377427). Does not have guanylate cyclase activity (PubMed: 10377427).

Test principle

This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with Mouse NPR3 antibody. NPR3 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Mouse NPR3 Antibody is added and binds to NPR3 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated NPR3 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Mouse NPR3. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
