Product description

Background

Solute carrier family 22 (organic anion/cation transporter), member 12, also known as SLC22A12 and URAT1, is a protein which in humans is encoded by the SLC22A12 gene.

Test principle

This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with Human SLC22A12 antibody. SLC22A12 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human SLC22A12 Antibody is added and binds to SLC22A12 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated SLC22A12 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human SLC22A12. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
