Background

X-linked interleukin-1 receptor accessory protein-like 2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the IL1RAPL2 gene.The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the interleukin 1 receptor family. This protein is similar to the interleukin 1 accessory proteins, and is most closely related to interleukin 1 receptor accessory protein-like 1 (IL1RAPL1). This gene and IL1RAPL1 are located at a region on chromosome X that is associated with X-linked non-syndromic mental retardation.

Test principle

This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with Human IL1RAPL2 antibody. IL1RAPL2 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human IL1RAPL2 Antibody is added and binds to IL1RAPL2 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated IL1RAPL2 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human IL1RAPL2. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
