Product description

Background

E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase that is essential for proper development of the forebrain, the eye, and the face. Catalyzes monoubiquitination of serine/threonine-protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) catalytic subunit PPP2CA/PPP2CB (By similarity). Negatively regulates nitric oxide production by inducing NOS1 and NOS3 translocation to actin cytoskeleton and inhibiting their enzymatic activity (PubMed:11149895, PubMed:15548660, PubMed:16135813).

Test principle

This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with Human NOSIP antibody. NOSIP present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human NOSIP Antibody is added and binds to NOSIP in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated NOSIP antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human NOSIP. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
