Product description

Background

Splicing factor binding to exonic or intronic sites and acting as either an activator or repressor of exon inclusion. Exhibits a binding preference for CA-rich elements (PubMed: 11809897, PubMed: 22570490, PubMed: 24164894, PubMed: 25623890, PubMed: 26051023). Component of the heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein (hnRNP) complexes and associated with most nascent transcripts (PubMed: 2687284). Associates, together with APEX1, to the negative calcium responsive element (nCaRE) B2 of the APEX2 promoter (PubMed: 11809897).

Test principle

This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with Human HNRNPL antibody. HNRNPL present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human HNRNPL Antibody is added and binds to HNRNPL in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated HNRNPL antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human HNRNPL. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
