Le GP130 (Glycoprotéine 130), également connu sous le nom d'IL6ST ou CD130, est une protéine transmembranaire qui est le membre fondateur de la classe de tous les récepteurs de cytokines. Le gène GP130 est cartographié sur 5q11.2. Le Gp130 a montré une masse moléculaire apparente de 130 kD par SDS-PAGE. Le Gp130 est impliqué dans la formation de sites de liaison à l'IL6 à haute affinité et dans la transduction du signal IL6. Le Sgp130 joue un rôle dans la modulation des signaux transduits par le gp130 lié à la membrane. Le Gp130 est un élément important de nombreux types de complexes de signalisation. Les molécules de Gp130 avec des mutations dans l'un ou l'autre de ces segments ne pouvaient pas transduire un signal de croissance.
