Signal transducer in the Ras-MAPK signalling pathway that regulates cell proliferation and survival. Ras proteins bind GDP/GTP and possess intrinsic GTPase activity. Activates MAPK1/MAPK3 resulting in phosphorylation and ultimately degradation of GJA1.
