Le récepteur 2 de type immunoglobuline associé aux leucocytes est une protéine qui, chez l'homme, est codée par le gène LAIR2. Il a été identifié par sa similitude avec le récepteur 1 de type immunoglobuline associé aux leucocytes, un récepteur lié à la membrane qui module la réponse immunitaire innée. La protéine codée par ce locus est un récepteur soluble qui peut jouer un rôle à la fois dans l'inhibition de l'agrégation plaquettaire induite par le collagène et dans la formation des vaisseaux pendant l'implantation placentaire. Ce gène est situé dans une région du 19q13.4, appelée "cluster de récepteurs leucocytaires", qui contient 29 gènes de la superfamille des immunoglobulines. Des variants de transcrits épissés alternativement ont été décrits pour ce gène.
