La protéine homéobox CDX-2 est une protéine qui chez l'homme est codée par le gène CDX2. Ce gène est un membre de la famille des gènes de facteurs de transcription homéobox liés à la région caudale. La protéine codée est un régulateur majeur des gènes spécifiques de l'intestin impliqués dans la croissance et la différenciation cellulaire. Cette protéine joue également un rôle dans le développement embryonnaire précoce du tractus intestinal. L'expression aberrante de ce gène est associée à l'inflammation intestinale et à la tumorigenèse.
