L'anticorps pAb de lapin PIGP est un anticorps ELK Biotechnology destiné aux flux de travail de recherche impliquant le PIGP.
Ce gène code une enzyme impliquée dans la première étape de la biosynthèse de l'ancre glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI). L'ancre GPI est un glycolipide présent sur de nombreuses cellules sanguines qui sert à ancrer les protéines à la surface cellulaire. La protéine codée est un composant du complexe GPI-N-acétylglucosaminyltransférase qui catalyse le transfert de la N-acétylglucosamine (GlcNAc) de l'UDP-GlcNAc vers le phosphatidylinositol (PI). Ce gène est situé dans la région critique du syndrome de Down sur le chromosome 21 et est un candidat pour la pathogenèse du syndrome de Down. Ce gène possède de multiples pseudogènes et est un membre de la famille des gènes de la biosynthèse de l'ancre glycanne du phosphatidylinositol. Des variants de transcription épissés alternativement codant différentes isoformes ont été décrits. [fourni par RefSeq, février 2016]
