Ce gène code pour un membre de la famille des protéines contenant un domaine de tétramérisation des canaux potassiques. Les membres de la famille sont identifiés sur une base structurelle et contiennent un domaine amino-terminal similaire au domaine T1 présent dans le canal potassique voltage-dépendant.
