L'anticorps polyclonal de lapin ARA54 est un anticorps ELK Biotechnology destiné aux flux de travail de recherche impliquant ARA54.
La protéine encodée par ce gène contient un doigt de zinc RING, un motif connu pour être impliqué dans les interactions protéine-protéine. Cette protéine interagit avec le récepteur des androgènes (RA) et pourrait fonctionner comme un coactivateur qui induit l'expression des gènes cibles du RA dans la prostate. Il a été démontré qu'un mutant dominant négatif de ce gène inhibe la croissance du cancer de la prostate médiée par le RA. Cette protéine interagit également avec les enzymes de conjugaison d'ubiquitine de classe III (E2s) et pourrait agir comme une ubiquitine-ligase (E3) dans l'ubiquitination de certaines protéines nucléaires.
