L'anticorps polyclonal de lapin anti-eIF2β est un anticorps de la société ELK Biotechnology destiné aux flux de recherche impliquant l'eIF2β.
Le facteur d'initiation de la traduction eucaryote 2, sous-unité bêta (EIF2S2), chez Homo sapiens, intervient dans les premières étapes de la synthèse protéique en formant un complexe ternaire avec le GTP et l'ARNt initiateur, et en se liant à une sous-unité ribosomale 40S. L'EIF-2 est composé de trois sous-unités : alpha, bêta et gamma. La protéine codée par ce gène représente la sous-unité bêta. La sous-unité bêta catalyse l'échange du GDP par le GTP, ce qui recycle le complexe EIF-2 pour un autre cycle d'initiation.
