L'anticorps pAb de lapin anti-TCP-1 ε est un anticorps ELK Biotechnology destiné aux flux de travail de recherche impliquant TCP-1 ε.
La protéine codée par ce gène est une chaperonne moléculaire membre du complexe chaperonine contenant TCP1 (CCT), également connu sous le nom de complexe en anneau TCP1 (TRiC). Ce complexe est constitué de deux anneaux empilés identiques, chacun contenant huit protéines différentes. Les polypeptides non repliés entrent dans la cavité centrale du complexe et sont repliés de manière ATP-dépendante. Le complexe replie diverses protéines, y compris l'actine et la tubuline. Les mutations de ce gène entraînent une neuropathie sensorielle et autonome héréditaire avec paraplégie spasmodique (HSNSP). L'épissage alternatif produit plusieurs variants de transcrits.
