sous-unité intégrine alpha L (ITGAL) Homo sapiens ITGAL code pour la chaîne alpha de l'intégrine L. Les intégrines sont des protéines transmembranaires hétérodimères composées d'une chaîne alpha et d'une chaîne bêta. Cette intégrine alpha contenant un domaine I se combine avec la chaîne bêta 2 (ITGB2) pour former l'antigène-1 associé à la fonction lymphocytaire intégrine (LFA-1), qui est exprimé sur tous les leucocytes. Le LFA-1 joue un rôle central dans l'adhésion intercellulaire des leucocytes par le biais d'interactions avec ses ligands, les ICAM 1-3 (molécules d'adhésion intercellulaire 1 à 3), et fonctionne également dans la signalisation costimulatrice des lymphocytes.
