L'anticorps pAb de lapin anti-Rb (phospho-Ser807/811) est un anticorps ELK Biotechnology destiné aux flux de travail de recherche impliquant Rb.
La protéine codée par ce gène est un régulateur négatif du cycle cellulaire et a été le premier gène suppresseur de tumeur découvert. La protéine codée stabilise également l'hétérochromatine constitutive pour maintenir la structure globale de la chromatine. La forme active, hypophosphorylée de la protéine, se lie au facteur de transcription E2F1. Les défauts de ce gène sont une cause du rétinoblastome (RB), un cancer infantile, du cancer de la vessie et du sarcome ostéogénique. [fourni par RefSeq, juillet 2008].
