L'anticorps SYCM lapin pAb est un anticorps d'ELK Biotechnology destiné aux flux de travail de recherche impliquant SYCM.
Ce gène code pour un membre putatif de la famille de classe I des aminoacyl-ARNt synthétases. Ces enzymes jouent un rôle critique dans la biosynthèse des protéines en chargeant les ARNt avec leurs acides aminés apparentés. Cette protéine est codée par le génome nucléaire mais est susceptible d'être importée dans la mitochondrie où elle est censée catalyser la liaison de la cystéine aux molécules d'ARNt. Une mutation du site d'épissage dans ce gène a été associée à une nouvelle maladie épileptique myoclonique progressive présentant des symptômes similaires au syndrome MERRF.
