La protéine de type kinase à lignage mixte (MLKL) est une pseudokinase identifiée comme cible en aval de RIP3 dans la voie de la nécroptose. Pendant la nécroptose, RIP3 est phosphorylée en Ser227, ce qui recrute MLKL et conduit à sa phosphorylation en Thr357 et Ser358.
