Transducteur de signal et activateur de la transcription qui assure la signalisation par les IFN de type I (IFN-alpha et IFN-bêta). Suite à la liaison des IFN de type I aux récepteurs de la surface cellulaire, les kinases Jak (TYK2 et JAK1) sont activées, entraînant la phosphorylation de la tyrosine de STAT1 et STAT2.
