Hsp90 (protéine de choc thermique 90) est une protéine chaperonne qui aide d'autres protéines à se replier correctement, stabilise les protéines contre le stress thermique et facilite la dégradation des protéines. Dans les cellules mammaliennes, il existe au moins deux gènes codant des homologues cytosolique d'Hsp90, l'Hsp90α humain présentant 85 % d'identité de séquence avec l'Hsp90β.
