La protéine LSm8 associée à l'ARNsn U6 est une protéine qui, chez l'homme, est codée par le gène LSM8. Ce gène code un membre de la famille des protéines de type Sm. La protéine codée se compose d'une forme en tonneau fermé, constituée de cinq brins bêta antiparallèles et d'une hélice alpha. Cette protéine s'associe à six paralogues pour former un anneau hétéroheptamérique qui se lie transitoirement aux petits ARN nucléaires U6 et est impliquée dans la maturation générale de l'ARN dans le noyau.
