Product description

Background

Transcriptional activator that regulates the tissue specific expression of multiple genes, especially in pancreatic islet cells and in liver (By similarity). Binds to the inverted palindrome 5'-GTTAATNATTAAC-3' (PubMed:12453420, PubMed:10966642). Activates the transcription of CYP1A2, CYP2E1 and CYP3A11 (By similarity).

Test principle

This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with Human HNF1A antibody. HNF1A present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human HNF1A Antibody is added and binds to HNF1A in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated HNF1A antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human HNF1A. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
