Product description

Background

Costimulates T-cell proliferation. May regulate myeloid cell activity in a variety of tissues (By similarity).

Test principle

This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with Mouse CD200 antibody. CD200 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Mouse CD200 Antibody is added and binds to CD200 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated CD200 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Mouse CD200. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Research target context

CD200CD200 molecule

View target guide

CD200 molecule (CD200), also known as OX-2 membrane glycoprotein or OX-2, is a cell-surface immunoregulatory glycoprotein that engages CD200 receptors. ABMIUM catalogue products linked below support research on CD200 biology.

Biological function: CD200 molecule (CD200/OX-2 membrane glycoprotein) is a type I membrane glycoprotein that binds inhibitory CD200 receptor family members, particularly CD200R1. CD200-CD200R signalling helps restrain activation of myeloid-lineage immune cells and contributes to regulation of inflammatory and immune responses.
