Product description

Background

Mediates the transport of phosphorylated lysosomal enzymes from the Golgi complex and the cell surface to lysosomes. Lysosomal enzymes bearing phosphomannosyl residues bind specifically to mannose-6-phosphate receptors in the Golgi apparatus and the resulting receptor-ligand complex is transported to an acidic prelysosomal compartment where the low pH mediates the dissociation of the complex. The receptor is then recycled back to the Golgi for another round of trafficking through its binding to the retromer. This receptor also binds IGF2. Acts as a positive regulator of T-cell coactivation by binding DPP4.

Test principle

This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with Mouse IGF2R antibody. IGF2R present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Mouse IGF2R Antibody is added and binds to IGF2R in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated IGF2R antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Mouse IGF2R. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
