Research context & evidence
Target information is kept separate from product-level validation so you can review the biology and the reagent evidence independently.
CD86 (B7-2) is an antigen-presenting-cell costimulatory molecule. It binds CD28 to support T-cell activation and also binds CTLA4, which negatively regulates T-cell activation and limits immune responses.
CD86 is widely studied in antigen-presenting cells, T-cell costimulation, immune checkpoints, adaptive immunity and inflammatory or tumour-immunology models. Reagent selection should consider species, activation state, sample type, assay format, application and supporting validation.
