Displays weak activity toward glycerophosphoethanolamine and no detectable activity toward glycerophosphoglycerol, glycerophosphoserine, or glycerophosphoinosito. GPCPD1 may be involved in the negative regulation of skeletal muscle differentiation, independently of its glycerophosphocholine phosphodiesterase activity.
