Lysosome Tracker (DeepRed) is a 1 mM fluorescent probe for labelling lysosomes in living cells. The dye selectively accumulates in acidic lysosomal compartments, enabling deep-red fluorescence imaging. It is suitable for live-cell staining, not fixed-cell staining.
For live-cell lysosome imaging, prepare a 50–100 nM working solution by diluting the stock 1:10,000–1:20,000 in cell culture medium. Incubate cells at 37 °C for 30 minutes to 2 hours, wash with PBS and observe by fluorescence microscopy. Optimise concentration and incubation time for the cell model, and minimise light exposure to reduce photobleaching.
