Glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) is a glycolytic enzyme that catalyses the interconversion of glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate and 3-phosphoglyceroyl phosphate. In addition to its metabolic role, GAPDH participates in cytoskeletal organisation and nuclear processes. It is found mainly in the cytosol, with reported nuclear, perinuclear, membrane and cytoskeletal localisation.
