Product description

Background

Prevents apoptosis in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cells through interaction with SIAH1, a mediator of apoptosis. May also have a role in cell growth promotion and hepatoma formation. Inhibits the TGF-beta signaling by interacting with the TGF-beta receptor ACVRL1. When overexpressed, induces the formation of cellular extension, such as filipodia in association with ACVRL1. Involved at the immediate early stage of adipocyte differentiation (By similarity). May bind to the 5'-GCCTGTCTTT-3' DNA sequence of the MB1 domain in the myelin basic protein (MBP) promoter (By similarity).

Test principle

This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with Human PEG10 antibody. PEG10 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human PEG10 Antibody is added and binds to PEG10 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated PEG10 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human PEG10. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
