Product description

Background

Histone H1 protein binds to linker DNA between nucleosomes forming the macromolecular structure known as the chromatin fiber. Histones H1 are necessary for the condensation of nucleosome chains into higher-order structured fibers. Acts also as a regulator of individual gene transcription through chromatin remodeling, nucleosome spacing and DNA methylation (By similarity).

Test principle

This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with Human HIST1H1D antibody. HIST1H1D present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human HIST1H1D Antibody is added and binds to HIST1H1D in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated HIST1H1D antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human HIST1H1D. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
