Accessibility and Inclusion Statement

ABMIUM aims to make its digital services usable by researchers, procurement teams and other visitors with a wide range of access needs. Accessibility is treated as part of responsible product and service design rather than as a one-off exercise.

Digital accessibility approach

We develop and review the storefront with reference to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), including the current WCAG 2.2 Level AA criteria where they are applicable to the experience we control. This statement describes our approach and should not be read as a claim that every page or third-party integration is fully conformant at all times.

Our priorities include:

• Perceivable: sufficient colour contrast, meaningful text alternatives and layouts that remain usable when content is resized.
• Operable: keyboard-accessible navigation, visible focus states and controls that do not depend on pointer input alone.
• Understandable: consistent navigation, descriptive labels, clear form instructions and structured scientific content.
• Robust: semantic HTML and compatibility with modern browsers and assistive technologies where practical.

Continuous improvement

Shopify theme changes, third-party apps, product data and new interactive features can introduce accessibility issues. ABMIUM reviews defects as they are identified and prioritises fixes that prevent users from finding products, reading scientific information, completing forms or placing orders.

Accessibility and research inclusion

ABMIUM's wider aim is to reduce avoidable barriers in research-reagent discovery by improving supplier transparency, product information, evidence context and access to scientific support. These are operating goals rather than a claim that all financial, informational or systemic barriers have been removed.
