MMP9 identifies matrix metallopeptidase 9 in Homo sapiens (Human). This target record connects NCBI Gene 4318, UniProtKB P14780 and related ABMIUM catalogue products.
Biological function: MMP9 is a matrix metalloproteinase that contributes to local extracellular-matrix proteolysis and leukocyte migration. It can cleave extracellular-matrix substrates including type IV and type V collagens.
