Nest Scientific SBS-format cryogenic vials meet Society for Biomolecular Screening (SBS) microplate footprint standards. Each vial features permanent, laser-etched barcodes for dependable sample identification and seamless automated tracking. A 2D DataMatrix code is engraved on the base, while a 1D barcode is etched along the side—a combination Nest calls a “3D label.” This “3D” designation reflects that both codes are physically engraved into the vial, ensuring they remain solvent-proof and highly resistant to mechanical wear. Caps are fully compatible with Azenta capper/de-capper systems.
