Das thymische stromale Lymphopoietin, auch TSLP genannt, ist ein Protein aus der Zytokinfamilie. Dieses Gen ist auf 5q22.1 kartiert. Es kodiert ein hämatopoetisches Zytokin, das vermutlich über einen heterodimeren Rezeptorkomplex, bestehend aus dem thymischen stromalem Lymphopoietin-Rezeptor und der IL-7R-alpha-Kette, signalisiert. Es beeinflusst hauptsächlich myeloische Zellen und induziert die Freisetzung von T-Zell-anlockenden Chemokinen aus Monozyten und fördert die Reifung von CD11c (+)-dendritischen Zellen. Das Protein fördert T-Helfer-Typ-2 (TH2)-Zellantworten, die mit Immunität bei verschiedenen entzündlichen Erkrankungen, einschließlich Asthma, allergischer Entzündung und chronisch obstruktiver Lungenerkrankung, verbunden sind. Das Protein wird daher als potenzielles therapeutisches Ziel für die Behandlung solcher Krankheiten angesehen.
