LEP identifies leptin in Homo sapiens (Human). This target record connects NCBI Gene 3952, UniProtKB P41159 and related ABMIUM catalogue products.
Biological function: LEP (leptin) is an adipocyte-derived hormone that signals through the leptin receptor to regulate energy balance, appetite and neuroendocrine responses. It also influences metabolic, reproductive and immune physiology.
