Das neurale Zelladhäsionsmolekül L1-ähnliches Protein, auch bekannt als naher Homolog von L1 (CHL1), ist ein Protein, das beim Menschen durch das CHL1-Gen kodiert wird. Dieses Protein ist ein Mitglied der L1-Genfamilie der neuralen Zelladhäsionsmoleküle. Mittels FISH wurde das CHL1-Gen auf Chromosom 3p26.1 kartiert. Das Protein hat jedoch eine dynamische Lokalisation, was bedeutet, dass es nicht nur mehrere Rollen in der Zelle, sondern auch verschiedene Orte hat. Dieses Protein kann auch eine Rolle beim Wachstum bestimmter Krebsarten spielen.
