Chemokin (C-C-Motiv)-Ligand 12 (CCL12) ist ein kleines Zytokin aus der CC-Chemokin-Familie, das bei Mäusen beschrieben wurde. Es ist auch als Monozyten-chemotaktisches Protein 5 (MCP-5) bekannt und wird aufgrund seiner Ähnlichkeit mit dem menschlichen Chemokin MCP-1 manchmal als MCP-1-verwandtes Chemokin bezeichnet. CCL12 zieht spezifisch Eosinophile, Monozyten und Lymphozyten an. Dieses Chemokin findet sich unter normalen Bedingungen vorwiegend in Lymphknoten und Thymus, und seine Expression kann in Makrophagen stark induziert werden. Es wird angenommen, dass es die Zellbewegungen während früher allergischer Reaktionen und der Immunantwort auf Krankheitserreger koordiniert. Das Gen für CCL12 befindet sich in einem Cluster von CC-Chemokinen auf dem Maus-Chromosom 11.
